Is New Hope Recovery Center right for me?
New Hope Recovery Center is an alcohol and chemical dependency treatment facility located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Our levels of care include Residential Day Treatment (RDT), Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP), Aftercare, and Extended Care. We also have unique programming for Emerging Adults and LGBTQI individuals. If you choose to participate in an internship opportunity at New Hope Recovery Center, you will have the opportunity to observe assessments, admissions, individual sessions, family sessions, groups both lecture and didactic, discharge planning, treatment planning, clinical staffing, utilization reviews and much more! Since New Hope Recovery Center offers a variety of levels of care, you will be given the opportunity to engage clients who are in various stages of treatment.
Who will my supervisor be?
Supervision is one of the most integral components of a successful internship experience. The clinical supervisor at New Hope Recovery Center is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in addition to being a Certified Advanced Alcohol and other Drug Counselor (CAADC) and a Registered Dual Disorder Professional (RDDP). You will be provided direct weekly 1:1 supervision with the Clinical Supervisor during your time at New Hope in order to receive the best possible clinical experience.
When should I apply?
New Hope Recovery Centers internships fill up quickly as we take only 1-2 interns at a time. This allows us to provide you with the most clinical and individualized internship experience possible. We strive to make sure our interns feel supported during their time with us so that they can grow as a professional when they move on.
